婚宴於酒店業而言，是每年的重頭業務。所以當自己友®與老牌五星中國大酒店聯乘的「I Love Canton 賞粵」企劃來到第三回，我們便嘗試將傳統粵式婚俗重新理解消化，策劃一系列相應的產品及活動。
Wedding banquet is the main business part of hotel industry every year, so we developed a gift set for the traditional Cantonese wedding as the third project of the crossover series I LOVE CANTON by China Hotel and Zi Gei Jau®.
好事成箱
舊時女兒出嫁，家人會為其準備一個「嫁妝箱」，準備好穀米錢物置放其中，寓意五穀豐登，家庭富裕。延用嫁妝箱的概念，我們將整套產品定名為「好事成箱」，將內容物變成一系列籌組婚事的必需物品，從詳如指引天書的<婚俗指南>到儀式用<聘/禮/迎>三書、過大禮利是乃至婚宴喜帖、糖盒，每一物品都放進與風俗相關的含義。中酒會將「好事成箱」作為婚禮手信贈予新人，既是紀念品又是百寶箱，成為其婚慶業務的一個特色增值。
「好事成箱」最初計劃以藤織製作，但基於實施操作、預算控制以及時間進度等現實情況，最終還是定為可控性更高的紙物。要讓客人在觀感上覺得這是一隻「篋」，而非一件手挽包裝禮盒，就需要在外觀上設置呼應的特徵：首先是點睛之用的手柄和鎖扣，利用精緻的配件實現簡單材質配搭，是讓箱體脫離紙盒觀念的最有效手段。其次，將舊式手提篋表面的皮革紋路，演變為連續性的雙喜暗紋，同時呼應主題，一舉兩得。
整個項目的過程，相當於對整個傳統婚俗進行了一次快速的認知入門，因而才更感受到，即使現代生活講求速效簡捷，但當中一些禮節、一些環節是不可缺少的。祗有走過了這些環環相扣的步驟，才賦予了一頭婚事在你生命旅程中「人生大事」的意義，而不至淪為麻木完成任務的負擔。正如自己友®定義這一次的企劃，是「恰到好處的儀式感」。
Lucky Suitcase package
In the old days, when the daughter got married, the family would prepare a Dowry Suitcase for her, put some grains, money and some kinds of meaningful items in it, which means the harvest is good and the family got rich. By extending the concept of that, we named this wedding gift package as Lucky Suitcase, and turned the contents into a series of necessary items for organizing a wedding including :
- a detailed <Cantonese Wedding Guide>;
- a special candy box;
- invitation cards;
- red envelopes for the betrothal and the bride price;
- appointment letters for traditional processes of the wedding.
It was originally planned to be made of rattan, but considered with practical conditions such as implementation, budget control and the time schedule, the Lucky Suitcase is finally determined to choose paper as the main material. In order to make people feel that is a suitcase rather than a common gift packaging, we need to put some corresponding features in the appearance. First, a set of exquisite handle and lock, this simple combination of different materials is not only raise the value but also the most effective way to get the suitcase out of a normal paper box feeling. Secondly, we used continuous double happiness pattern to cover the whole box, for bringing back the impression of the leather texture from old-style suitcases.
The whole process of the project like a quick introduction for us to the traditional wedding customs of Cantonese, we do agree that even if the modern life is fast and convenient, but some indispensable traditions can't be missed, they are the proof that your wedding really became a big chapter of your life journey. As we defined the project:

從識讀通勝擇日到準備三書六禮，從逐件枝節到重點核心，從婚前9月到花好月圓，從上頭安床到迎親出閣，從花車導航到過門拜堂，從大排筵席到細節統籌，事無巨細逐一提點，羊城網的好拍檔Ivan Hu嘔心瀝血彙編了這本婚俗版奇天烈百科全書，而我們的任務就是如何將這大量信息內容盡力清晰傳遞出來。

From the selection of auspicious dates to preparation of Three Letters and Six Rites, from branch tasks to the core mission, from day 1 of the wedding plan to the last minute of the wedding day, from the installation of the bridal bed to the wedding ceremony, from the route guiding of the wedding car to meeting the bride, from host the banquets to coordinating every detail, no matter things how big and small, the <Wedding Guide> gives you all advice in place. Ivan Hu, our great partner from GZNF.net, compiled this encyclopedia of wedding with a great deal of effort, and our mission is trying to present these large amounts of information content in it as clear as possible.
百甜好合
糖盒雖小(7cm*7cm*7cm)，但也可以帶出意思。它滿載喜糖，代表著將新婚甜滋滋的喜悅，分享予每一位出席的賓客。以此想法為起點，設計這一款——「百甜好合」糖盒，顧名思義，就是將所有甜蜜都聚合在一起，同時也食了「百年好合」的字，將意頭傳遞。
採用單紙成盒的摺疊結構，賓客會發現，盒子打開的過程如同鮮花盛開，花中除了喜糖，還有一堆地道溫馨賀詞，從味覺視覺乃至意象，全方位感受甜蜜。
每一字句都附帶正宗廣東話拚音，秉承「I Love Canton 賞粵」的特色和理念，讓這小小紀念品，也帶著一點點本土意義。
Harmonious Union in Sweet candy box
Even though it's just a tiny item (7cm*7cm*7cm), but the candy box also could be meaningful. Full of candies, which means sharing the joy of the new couple with every guest. Based on this idea, we designed this Harmonious Union in Sweet candy box, it sounds like A harmonious union lasting a hundred year - one of the classic wedding blessings in Cantonese, means bring all kinds of sweet together.
With a folding structure of single paper into a box, the guests will find that, it's like a blooming flower while they opened the box. In addition to the candies, , there are bunches of sweet greetings appeared at the same time, the candy box brings you a full range of sweet feelings through taste and vision.
Adhering to the purpose of I LOVE CANTON series, every blessing word comes with standard Cantonese Romanisation, make this tiny souvenir become more meaningful to the traditional Cantonese culture.
喜帖
中西元素交融不限於二維畫面，通過三層交疊，每一層畫面用上不同輪廓的模切，呈現出立體的層次。賓客揭開的過程，也有一種風格變幻的體驗。揭開封面後的第二層，呈現出來的是一個更偏向新派中式風味的畫面。
The invitation card
The overlapped layers with different shapes provides a fusion experience of Chinese and Western to the guest.
禮金封
不止內裡裝載的禮金，禮金封自身也要象徵出一種份量感，重點分明，乾淨利落呈現婚姻的核心價值。畫面正中的並蒂蓮，象徵永結同心的祝禱，表達兩家給予一對新人的冀望。
Red envelope for the betrothal
Not only the gift money but also the red envelope needs to reflect the core value of the marriage, simple and clear. The twin lotus symbolizes Tie the knot, expresses the best wishes for the new couple from both families.
包羅萬有封
為「三牲金」而設，既代表著原本的三牲，還希望為新人帶來家肥屋潤、包羅萬有的寓意，除了豬魚雞三個主要元素外，還有其他象征好意頭、閃閃生輝的形象配襯，將整個畫面做出大喜日子的繽紛熱鬧，從觀感上展現幸福富足。
Red envelope for the bride price
We named it All-inclusive Envelope, with the meaning of being filled with riches and opulence. Three main elements of pigs, fish and chicken (the bride price also known as Livestock Price), matched with other lucky symbols, form a funny picture to present happy and rich.

我們希望在整個賞粵婚慶中帶回三書的概念，讓新生一輩重新認知這流失的重要儀式環節。
Three Letters
We brought Three Letters back to the package, the new generation can re-recognize this important series of rituals which almost lost in modern-day.
