上回賞粵中秋圓滿後，繼續為中國大酒店策劃賞粵賀年，而且這次能正式以「Designed by 自己友®」名義出師。
After the success of the Mid-Autumn Festival gift set, we continued have new designs of the Lunar New Year set for the I LOVE CANTON series, the crossover project between China Hotel and Zi Gei Jau®.
賞粵利是封
I LOVE CANTON Envelope
賞粵利是封是當中重頭之一。如何既帶出農曆新年氛圍，又同時體現中酒這主人家身份？忽然發現，中酒logo本身就是自帶喜慶象徵的大燈籠，剛好就是以上兩種屬性交集，於是一切就以這燈籠為起點展開。
我們總不安分於單純圖案表達，希望能在操作過程中預設一些驚喜，讓當事人通過行為來體驗當中意思。確定燈籠元素後整條思路開始清晰，改為前向開封，揭開取出錢幣後會發現相同的燈籠下延展出一副春聯，而燈籠本身顏色也變得更多彩。這個打開利是封的過程，好比就是點亮燈籠、拉開對聯的過程。一連串動作，是想向後生一代傳遞一點往昔傳統的風韻。
這設計亦帶出另一重更重要的意義：一般的利是封總是會有取出錢幣之後便幾乎再無用武之地的尷尬，丟棄又可惜。要扭轉這境地，它必須進行角色轉化——賞粵利是封在錢幣取出后，隨即進入第二狀態，成為長期的景品裝飾。燈籠頂端預留了孔位，可以自行穿線掛起，為家中好意象增色。
兩款封，一為祝，一為賀，最初的對聯文字內容並非現在看到的版本，也正是這過程中體會到酒店業對於「意頭」那細密與謹慎的要求和尺度。當傳統漸淡，希望通過這一組設計，用一個動作喚起對傳統的共鳴。
The ILC Envelope is the main part of the set, we were looking for a right way to combine the identity of the hotel brand into the Lunar New Year theme. Suddenly, we found that the brand mark of the hotel is a traditional lantern, a typical jubilant pattern of Chinese culture, that's just the best point we look for, every thing would start from here!
Not just stay on the graphic, we want to create a unique process, people can get not just a special experience but more meaning through this. Not as usual, the flap changed to the front side, printed with a big lantern logo. Once the envelope opened, a same lantern logo turns into colorful printed on the same place of the back side. A couplet appeared conspicuously under the logo. The whole process is acting as lighting the lantern and pulling down the couplet, and giving a bit of the traditional charm to the younger generation.
The ILC Envelope could be a simple decoration when its empty in the state of opening, it can hang up by a thread to add some festival atmosphere to the home. The important meaning on this is: most of the time, the red envelope always became useless once the money is taken out. Now the situation has been changed and waste avoided successfully by the ILC design.
Two models a set, one stands for blessings, one stands for congratulations. The contents of the couplets are totally different from the original design, and we do feel prudence and requirement of the good meaning of the hotel industry during the modifying.
We hope to evoke the resonance of tradition through the process of the ILC Envelope.
眞好彩對聯
Lucky Couplet
賞粵賀年的添頭小品。最初提案是用簡單的人字結構成為桌上小擺件。後來想搞得有層次有氣氛一點，最終用了多重Z形摺疊，穿插三道插榫讓紙片自然弧起，增加立體感。
The original idea was to make it as an A stand to be a tiny decoration on the table. Later we wanted to make it a little more layered, then changed to the Z structure with 3 tenons to make a cambered surface naturally to have a better three-dimensional shapes.

整個項目的第一彈任務其實是這一款「賞粵賀禮禮盒」，保留原盒骨架，以賞粵理念進行表面的再設計。
賀歲歌是農曆新年少不了的繞梁之音，儘管每年都在不斷重溫再重溫，但可曾細細留意裡面的歌詞，其實是充滿最好意頭的恭賀佳話？如今，很多人拜年時也漸漸不如往日那般懂得伶牙俐齒，隨口便能道出一句應節美言。於是，我們精心選擇了幾道經典賀歲歌詞，作為是次賞粵禮盒的重要元素，讓人們細味盒內年宵美食的同時，同時咀嚼外面的一字一句，以備在拜年時就地取材，向至親好友送上滿溢意頭的甜美祝福！
The package of the ILC Gift Set is based on an existing box with a brand new graphic design in Cantonese style.
The Cantonese New Year songs are the most important part of the festival. We elaborately chose a few lyrics of the classic New Year songs to be the primary decorations of the design, as the sweet blessing what people can learn to use immediately to their relatives and friends during the gathering.
