去年製作初回「賞粵」月餅時，曾有個想法：
如果我們的設計能夠做出一種意境，讓人們與家人一邊團圓一邊賞月一邊食月餅沉醉在那刻時光，這將是我們對中秋這佳節的最好餽贈。
這個念頭終於在今年實施。
又到中秋，同時代表著中國大酒店與自己友®聯乘的「I Love Canton 賞粵」企劃，剛好度過圓滿一年。新賞粵月餅代表著新一篇的開始，這次中酒事先給我們展示了一款造工精良的圓鐵罐，新賞粵月餅需要用上此罐，於是我們便圍繞其展開設計。圓罐輪廓分明，邊緣轉折甚為爽朗，質感頗好，「就用它來表現滿月」的想法迅速浮現。確立此中心後，一切便水到渠成。
近年的月餅成為堆砌奢華派頭的媒介，不斷包裝增值、不斷加入枝節，最終營造出一個幾乎和中秋節氣氛無關的格調。慶幸，中酒和自己友®都堅持「賞粵」保持它本質的單純，我們亦做出與潮流背道而馳的節制——一個開放式的外盒就是它唯一外包裝，甚至連禮品袋也省下，直接手挽。外盒以雲層展現，襯托著從中昇起的明月，在構思過程中，腦中忽然泛起經典小調<彩雲追月>。
最終，新賞粵月餅定名為「雲海升月」—— 寓意 海上生明月，天涯共此時。
除了四枚月餅，盒中還附帶燈謎卡，在團圓時光重溫昔日簡樸遊樂，還演化為真心話任務，向家人、向愛人、向友人道出祝福，佳節時光就該彼此分享。
再多奢華貴氣，也貴不過情懷與心意。
There was an unused idea before we designed the first I LOVE CANTON mooncake set last year:
If our design can build up a good atmosphere while people appreciate the moon and enjoy the mooncakes with their family, that would be the best gift for the Mid-Autumn festival.
This thought is finally come to reality!
It is Mid-Autumn Festival again, I LOVE CANTON - the crossover project between China Hotel and Zi Gei Jau® has just been in 1 year. The new mooncake set represents a new start of the ILC project. Before the design started, China Hotel showed us a round can, they plan to use it as the main packaging of the mooncake set， that means it will be the base of the new design this time.
The round can has a clean shape with good quality, No better than make it as a full moon! - a thought appeared quickly. Once the main concept established, the remain things are work itself out successfully.
Mooncake has become more expensive, piled up more and more unnecessary accessories and additional values to represent as a luxury gift these years, it seems has less meaning and less connections to the Mid-Autumn Festival. Fortunately, both China Hotel and Zi Gei Jau® insist on keeping the pure intention of ILC, and we also make it temperance and go against the trend. A portable half-open box is the outer packaging, even the gift bag could be saved. Covered with continuous auspicious cloud pattern, the box perfectly matched the round can which as a rising golden moon. It reminded me the Chinese traditional song <Beatiful Clouds Chasing The Moon> during the design process.
The new mooncake set is named The Moon Rises on The Sea of Clouds, like a verse from a famous Chinese poem:
As the bright moon shines over the sea,
from far away you share this moment with me.
In addition to the four moon cakes, the box set also comes with a simple riddle card set mixed with a truth or dare game, let you express blessings to your family, lover and friends. The happy time should be shared with each other in this beautiful moment.
Luxury is far less than a precious gathering moment.
