繼環保、可持續、在地文化等關注點之後，2022深圳時尚家居設計周集結45位煉物者，包括高端家居領跑者、知名材料品牌、頂尖藝術家、設計力量、研 究學者等，以敦煌文化為主題，開啟一場集合了設計，材料，國潮文化及藝術表達的「煉物」文化特展。而我們有幸成為其中一個參與單位。
After focusing on environmental protection, sustainability, and local culture, the 2022 Shenzhen Fashion Home Furnishing Design Week gathered 45 creators, including high-end home furnishing leaders, well-known material brands, outstanding artists and designers, researching scholars to participate in a DUNHUANG theme exhibition including design, materials, trending and artistic expression. We are honor to be a part of it.
絢爛奔放同時又充滿神秘感的敦煌，好比一個巨大的容器，承載著歷史 、 宗教 、藝術、建築、人文等內容，人們既可各取所需又可靜心觀賞，亦可研究創新。 說到容器，敦煌這上千的洞窟其實就是容器這概念的具象表達。如以家居來比喻，這些洞窟，好比是經古人之手巧奪天工雕琢而成的巨型收納櫃，為佛畫、雕塑以及大量古代文物提供上千年的容身之所。而這一角度，對我們思考如何將敦煌融入家居帶來啟發。
The colorful and mysterious Dunhuang is like a huge container fulfilling history, religion, art, architecture and humanities. People can learn from it, watch it carefully, and research and innovate. Speaking of containers, those thousands of caves in Dunhuang are actually a distinctive expression of the concept of containers. In terms of home furnishing, these caves are like giant storage cabinets crafted by the ancients, providing Buddhist paintings, sculptures and many ancient cultural relics for thousands of years. This inspires us to think about how to integrate Dunhuang into the home.
我們不想將它們的形式表面地套入家具，而是希望能將兩者做到內在意義上的融合，包括了結構上的、人機關係上的。而「收納」這個特質正好打通了兩個場景，從遠古遺跡到當下居室，「金土穴居櫃」的想法由此誕生。它既不是純粹的復古、也非單一的現代化。在其身上，應該包含著不同元素交合的氣質。它是通過相互交流後的產物——遠古與當今的時空交流、山間與家中的場景交流、不同製作工藝的交流、自由與工整線條的交流、擺設與功能的交流等等。
We do not want to just put their forms into furniture directly, but hope to integrate the two internally, including the structures and the relationship between human and the product. The feature of "storage" just connects two worlds, from ancient ruins to the modern living room, and the idea of The Metal-Earth-Cave Cabinet was born. It is neither pure retro nor single modern style. It should contain the temperament of the intersection of different elements. Likewise, it is the product hybrid with time and space between ancient and modern, outside and inside, different production techniques, freedom and neat lines, furnishings and functions, and so on.
我們嘗試利用石灣的陶瓷資源與之相結合，將製陶工藝混合金屬加工，並以石灣獨有的陶瓷釉色與敦煌壁畫顏色相搭碰撞。從觀念、到手法、再到著色，不同維度彼此交融，最後得出了奇妙的結果。
We tried to use Shiwan's ceramic resources to combine it, combined pottery-making technology with metal processing, and using Shiwan's unique ceramic glaze color to collide with the tone of Dunhuang frescoes. From concept, to technique, to coloring, different dimensions blend with each other, and finally a wonderful result is obtained.
