現在的禮品包裝設計是為了提升產品的格調，增加產品的附加值，但對於顧客來說，除了觀賞外，幾乎沒有其他用途，最終處於留之無謂、棄之可惜的尷尬。因此，我們一直希望在我們的項目中盡可能做到平衡，既能賦予商品意義，又能減少無用的裝飾，將商品的每一部分都能利用起來。
另一方面，石灣陶瓷博物館這次的月餅設計委託總共有兩款，一款是展現陶藝的魅力以及佳節的風采(詳見此處)，而另一款，我們則希望雅俗共賞，通過玩味讓客人重溫並沉浸於節日的快樂氣氛當中，畢竟佳節本身應該是快樂的。說到中秋節最好玩的事情，當然是提著燈籠走街串巷，於是，自然而然地產生了把包裝變成燈籠的想法。
Nowadays, the gift packaging is designed to elevate the style of the product and increase its added value, but for the customer, it has almost no other use except for viewing, and it is embarrassing to keep it for nothing. Therefore, we have constantly strived to achieve a balance through our projects, which can not only put meanings to the product, but also reduce useless decoration and make use of every part of the product.
On the other hand, there are two moon cake designs commissioned by the Ceramic Museum. One is to show the charm of the pottery and the elegance of the festival (full intro here), and the other is to let the customers regain and immerse themselves in the happy atmosphere of the Moon Festival through fun. And yes, the festival itself should be happy. The most interesting thing about the Mid-Autumn Festival is, of course, walking through the streets with lanterns, so the idea of turning the packaging into lanterns came naturally.
外盒兩側是日、月神圖案，「日」「月」即「明」。取出月餅後，點亮禮盒內附贈的電子蠟燭，光線會從盒子裡透出，此情此景，正好寓意：
「日月同輝，明光爍亮，如意吉祥」。
There are patterns of the sun and moon gods on both sides of the outside packaging. The Chinese characters "日" and "月" form "明", which means bright. After taking out the moon cakes and lighting up the electronic candle that comes with the gift set, the light will be reflected from inside the box, implying:
"The sun and the moon shine together, the light shines brightly, and the wish is auspicious."
