佛山石灣以陶塑聞名於世，自明、清代開始已享負盛名，當中尤以人像為代表，「石灣公仔」早已世人共知。石灣公仔造型生動傳神，以不施釉的陶泥胎骨表現人體肌膚，得到比瓷雕更有温情和人性的讚譽。
接到廣東石灣陶瓷博物館的委託，為其設計具有本館特色的月餅禮盒，我們第一時間便想到將石灣公仔置入其中，畢竟這就是最具說服力、最具代表性的名片之一。
Shiwan is famous all over the world for its pottery sculptures. It has enjoyed a high reputation since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially the figures, they have long been known to the world. With those lifelike shapes and shows of the texture of human skin by uncolored clay, the Shiwan Figure has been praised for being more humane than porcelain sculptures.
After receiving the commission from Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum to design a moon cake gift box with their characteristics, we immediately thought of putting a Shiwan Figure in it because it is one of the most persuasive and representative icons.
站在客人的角度，若公仔與禮盒之間毫無關聯，只是在月餅之外多加了一件工藝品，並不會帶來特別的感受。因此，我們要通過設計，在公仔的基礎上營造一個簡單的情景。在石灣公仔眾多品類當中，我們選用了「山公」——顧名思義就是放在盆栽假山中用作點綴的微型尺寸石灣公仔，匠人們通過搓、捏、貼、捺、塑等傳統手工技法創作出人物、鳥獸、亭台樓閣，濃縮在方寸之間。
客人在開盒體驗中得到一個帶著氛圍的情景，既能感受佳節的雅緻、又可體會石灣陶塑的韻味，我們的設計才算做出了應有的意義。
From the customer's point of view, if there is no connection between the figure and the gift box, it is just an extra added gimmick, which will not bring any special experience. Therefore, we need to create a simple scene based on the figure through design. Among the many kinds of Shiwan Figures, we chose "Mountain Figure" which is the mini size version of Shiwan Figure that placed in potted rockery for decoration. The craftsmen create figures, birds, beasts, pavilions, and pavilions through traditional manual techniques such as rubbing, pinching, sticking, pressing, and molding, all of which are condensed into a tiny size.
Customers will get an atmospheric scene during the process of unpacking, comes with not only the elegance feeling of the festival, but also the charm of Shiwan ceramic sculptures, and our design will achieve the real significance.
