活力粘土 Vitality Clay

2024年的石灣杯以「活力粘土」為主題，旨在以國際化的視角展現陶藝創作的多樣性與生命力。第一感覺讓我們聯想到，每年的石灣杯就像一場盛大的陶藝舞會，一個國際舞台讓陶藝家們展現自己的創意與活力。無論是藝術家還是他們手中不斷被塑造的粘土，都充滿生機，宛如翩翩起舞。而「歡樂」與「活躍」的氛圍，正是最能體現「活力」這一主題的視覺意境。因此，我們從舞者的舞姿中汲取靈感，提取出動態的線條，結合鮮明且富有張力的色彩構建畫面，強調「動」與「生機」的視覺表達。這些流動的線條也呼應了粘土在藝術家手中被塑造時所展現的韌性與無限可能。

在完成第一稿後，我們進一步深思：「活力」到底指的是什麼？是創作者的活力、作品的活力、技藝的傳承，還是推動創新前進的動力？亦或是想像力與觀念的活力？最終我們發現，這些定義都是「活力」的組成部分，並指向陶藝更廣闊的未來。基於這種理解，我們將初稿中略為具象的設計進行多輪抽象化處理，提煉為純粹的動態圖形。這樣的簡化賦予設計更大的詮釋空間，不僅保留了動感的基礎，也減少了具象符號的限制，進一步提升了設計的藝術感與現代感。同時，這種抽象化的設計具有更強的包容性，可適應多種應用場景，如平面印刷、數字媒體展示和空間裝置，實現高辨識度與吸引力。

設計採用了高飽和度的藍、紅、粉、黃四色組合，通過鮮明的對比與活潑的配色傳遞「活力」的情感張力：
藍色：象徵穩定與創作中的冷靜思考；
紅色與黃色：營造熱情與充滿動感的氛圍；
粉色：增添柔和與平衡，體現陶藝文化中的細膩與優雅。

對於石灣杯這樣的國際陶藝賽事而言，這種設計風格不僅彰顯了賽事品牌的專業與創意，更拉近了與年輕藝術家及多元文化社群的距離，充分體現了藝術的包容性與生機。

The theme for the 2024 Shiwan Cup has been titled "Vitality Clay," aiming to showcase the diversity and dynamism of ceramic art from an international perspective. Our first impression was that the Shiwan Cup resembles a grand ball for ceramics—a global stage where ceramic artists can showcase their creativity and energy. Both the artists and the clay they shape are full of vitality, dancing gracefully in their own ways. The atmosphere of joy and vibrancy perfectly embodies the essence of "vitality," which became the foundation of our design concept. Inspired by the movements of dancers, we extracted dynamic lines from dance gestures and combined them with bold and vibrant colors to create a visual composition that emphasizes motion and vitality. These flowing contours also echo the fluidity and limitless potential of clay being shaped in the hands of artists.

After completing the initial draft, we delved deeper into the concept: what exactly does "vitality" refer to? Is it the vitality of the creators, the artworks, the craftsmanship, or the drive to push the boundaries of creativity? Or perhaps it’s the vitality of imagination and conceptual thinking? Ultimately, we found that all of these interpretations are interconnected, pointing toward a broader future for ceramic art. Based on this understanding, we abstracted the initial design, which was more figurative, into pure dynamic graphics through multiple iterations. This abstraction allows for greater interpretive space, retaining the foundational sense of motion while removing the constraints of specific imagery. It also enhances the design’s artistic and contemporary appeal. Furthermore, this approach increases inclusivity, making the design adaptable across various mediums, such as print, digital media, and spatial installations, ensuring high recognizability and impact.

The design adopts a high-saturation color palette of blue, red, pink, and yellow, using vibrant contrasts to evoke the emotional resonance of "vitality":
- Blue: Symbolizes stability and the calm reflection inherent in creation.
- Red and Yellow: Convey enthusiasm and an energetic, dynamic atmosphere.
- Pink: Adds softness and balance, reflecting the delicacy and elegance of ceramic culture.

For an international ceramic event like the Shiwan Cup, such a lively yet inclusive design not only highlights the professionalism and creativity of the brand but also bridges the gap with young artists and diverse cultural communities, fully embodying the inclusivity and vitality of art.

時隔一年，美陶湾·星光薈美術館從去年的框架雛形，逐步蛻變為一座完整的建築。在此次展覽中，我們充分發揮了全玻璃正門的建築特色，將其打造成一個巨型展示平台。這一設計不僅巧妙結合了建築的材質優勢，還將展會信息與建築形態融為一體，呈現出一種「透明畫布」般的視覺效果。

透過將展會主題以大幅圖像覆蓋正門，我們創造了極具震撼力的視覺呈現。遠觀時宛如一塊巨型屏幕，鮮明的設計語言和醒目的色彩瞬間抓住行人的目光；近觀時，玻璃表面的半透明特性使圖案與內部空間形成互動，營造出豐富的層次感與流動的視覺體驗。這樣的設計手法不僅提升了展覽的識別度，還模糊了建築與外界的邊界，讓觀眾從第一眼便融入展會的活力與創意氛圍。

此外，這種巨幅設計作為展覽入口的一部分，不僅僅是視覺美化，而是建築與展覽之間的有機連結。它自然地引導觀眾的視線，為展覽提供明確的方向感，同時將主題信息融入觀眾的行進路徑中，進一步強化沉浸式參與的體驗感。

A year after, the Meitao Bay · Xingguanghui Art Museum has transformed into a fully completed architectural landmark. For this exhibition, we fully utilized the all-glass front entrance, turning it into a giant display platform. This design not only leverages the unique material properties of the building but also seamlessly integrates exhibition information with the architectural form, creating an effect akin to a "transparent canvas."

By covering the front entrance with a large-scale graphic representation of the exhibition theme, we achieved an unprecedented level of visual impact. From a distance, the front entrance appears as a massive screen showcasing the exhibition poster, with its bold design language and vibrant colors instantly capturing the attention of passersby. Up close, the semi-transparent nature of the glass allows the graphic elements to interact with the interior space, creating a rich, layered visual experience. This approach enhances the exhibition’s recognizability while blurring the boundary between the building and its surroundings, immersing viewers in an atmosphere of vitality and creativity from the very first glance.

Moreover, this oversized design, as part of the exhibition's entrance, serves not only as a visual enhancement but also as a connective element between the architecture and the event itself. It naturally guides the viewer's gaze, providing a clear sense of direction while integrating the exhibition theme into the audience's journey. This strengthens the immersive and participatory experience, ensuring a seamless transition between the exterior and interior narratives of the exhibition.
